Mrs James, Academy Secretary at Media House Academy
Ruth James is a very busy lady indeed - she runs the Academy almost single-handed. One of her duties is to source a printer to print letterheads and business cards for both campuses. In the past this has been a confusing affair, and she often resorted to making low quality copies on the academy colour photocopier. This time however, things are different.

Ruth knows that she needs 500 letterheads for the main campus and 250 letterheads for the Royce Court campus. She logs into the secure web to print portal and selects the letterhead product from the list of items. She selects the main campus address from the address drop down box, views an online PDF proof before placing an order for 500 letterheads. She then selects the letterhead product again from the catalogue and this time, chooses the Royce Court address from the drop down option. After viewing an online PDF (which shows the Royce Court address) she places an order for 250 letterheads. Now she processes both orders from the basket, entering her purchase order number so the order can reconciled with her records.
She asks for each order to be sent to its related location.

Mrs Ableton, Head of Music at Media House Academy
Jane Ableton is head of music at the academy. Throughout the year the music department stages live concerts at the academy. It’s Jane’s responsibility to make sure that as many people as possible know about up and coming events. In order to do this, Jane creates a flyer for each event.

The flyer layout is based on an original design that Jane created on her Mac at home. The design was converted into a template for use on the web to print portal. Because the template allows only specific elements of the design to be changed for each flyer design, the look and feel of each flyer is incredibly consistent.

Each time Jane needs to create a flyer, she simply logs into the web to print portal, and chooses the flyer template from the online catalogue. Once she has chosen her template, Jane can then upload an image for the front page and insert the concert title via the easy to use wizard screens. Jane then inserts the headings and descriptions of the concert play-list using a separate wizard screen. After viewing an online PDF preview, she places an order using the purchase order number from her list of assigned purchase order numbers given to the department.

The flyers arrive within two days and Jane spends her time traversing the academy distributing the flyers to everyone! This is one of the things she enjoys most.
